Paraphrasing another reviewer, "James says that faith without works is dead, but in this book, Luther teaches us that works without faith are not pleasing to God." We show our love for God by showing our love for our neighbor, according to the Ten Commandments, and the vocation God has chosen for us; parent, child, farmer, soldier, etc.
