I have read perhaps too much Rina kent recently but I'm so excited for this one! I also feel like it'll be different enough considering they're different characters from the normal "God of Legacy" books

I will not be reading the xue meng extras for my sanity - a huge fuck you to meatbun for making only 100 pages of this LAST FUCKING VOLUME about our main characters im legit never gonna forgive her for this

I'm putting this one on pause cause I was literally so excited for it but I'm not in the mood for danmei AT ALL and I don't want to ruin the reading experience of it. So I'll pick this up again once I'm in the mood

Can confirm this is already exponentially better than the first time I read it

I FINALLY get to reread this

It's been an almost year-long commitment of me reading the other books in this series because I was convinced that I would like this one way more if I actually knew what was happening and now I truly could not be more excited for a book in this type of series LOL I am very convinced it's going to be a five star because my love of Niko has grown exponentially every book

I'm really liking how much we're getting of the boys in this one because I feel like this entire series we keep hearing about this rivalry between all of them and we never really see it - Landon vs Niko is great every time theyre on page I kinda wish THEY kissed 😪

I kinda keep forgetting I'm still reading this because we kind of got this nice little ending?? but its only 30% in?? which is terrifying but also my brain is convinced i already finished this lmao

idk what i'm going to do after i finish this series when i need a silly little audiobook to listen to while I play my switch

We are only reading "Shawshank Redemption" out of this collection with my class - so far they are enjoying it especially when we watch the movie alongside what we read

this is definitely the slowest i've ever read a book with my students but also they are having SUCH good convos and thoughts about it I don't even mind how far behind we are lmao

I was told i didnt have to read this before The Fallen Merman but I was a bit confused by the first few chps of FM so I picked this up just for some context and im absolutely HOOKED now

Arc 8 How to Own Five Buildings

this was SO CRAZY - especially with how the game was won I was like WHAT?? I thought this horror game was already fun because it was a "the true horror is actually capitalism" which I always enjoy, and I assumed it would be just sort of a throw away/whatever game that pushed the plot forward but didn't have a ton going on. And then it turned into the craziest thing EVER

Arc 7 Yinshan Village

This was INCREDIBLE. This is absolutely one of my favorite games they've played because I'm a much bigger fan of story based game and this one was awesome in the ghost/folk lore regard, but then also the actual story was SO well done. This is the first one that has truly spooked me but also the INSANE plot twist at the end that was CRAZY and I did not see that coming at all holy shit

I'm rereading this but doing a buddy read with my husband whose never read it before!!

I found out Goodreads has I Became a God In a Horror Game in volumized editions (they're thai but oh well) so I'm going to use these to keep track of as well as my mini reviews on the original "edition" i've been using since last year!

We are back at it with chipping away at I BECAME A GOD IN A HORROR GAME - I am reading the English fan translation but I think ill use these thai versions to keep track of them this year since its just SO long

I just finished reading the "pre season" section so we are getting into Yinshan Village now!

I don't know what my mental block is with this one but I've been putting off reading it for so long and now that I've finally picked it up I keep completely zoning out while reading. Maybe I need to listen to it on audiobook or something... or maybe it's cause I don't actually like Mystery as a genre lol but I'm going to try to push through this volume and see how it goes!

I can already tell I'm going to like this more than I originally thought I would (I thought it was going to be a typical dark romance, but this seems like it'll be more like "My Dark Vanessa" which is one of my fave books!).

But also omg we're in Massachusetts I'm so curious what university we're supposed to be at

I'm a little bit worried this is falling into the category of "contemporary danmei being way too drawn out for no reason" because what do you mean we have 1,000 more pages of this story 🙃 I feel like it could have been done about 100 pages ago 🙃 I know that they go to college and stuff and the plot has always been slice of life but the stakes of the story are completely gone at this point 🙃

this has been fascinating so far - very "talk to me" but with adults dealing with crazy and complex adult things as well as the actual horror stuff

I needed a break from all my high fantasy reading and this was the PERFECT pick esp since I'm already well into the series so I truly barely have to think at all

I'm already liking this book SOOO much more than book 2 which I felt was literally exactly the same as book 1. Cecily is probs my fave character of the girls so far

Reading 1984 with my Sophomores because it seems timely and important for them to read
