Lisa is reading Finders Keepers (Bill Hodges Trilogy, #2)
For readers, one of life's most electrifying discoveries is that they are readers-not just capable of doing it, but in love with it. Hopelessly. Head over heels.

Had to make myself stop reading at page 200. I was flying through it and I want to enjoy it a bit more.

I'm going to admit I have no idea what this book is about. I really wanted to read it just because it is a thriller (I love thrillers) and it has gotten great reviews. I have not read any of those reviews. And I will acknowledge that I am less than 20% into this book. So far I have been blown away by her writing. Her "male character" obviously has a different voice, but is written well. Amy's voice is real.

"I think you judge yourself too severely, a quality that always distinguishes people of true worth. Believe me when I say that throughout my professional life I've come across hundreds of characters for whom you wouldn't have given a damn but who had an extremely high opinion of themselves."

Not sold. Not sold at all. I hope the holes in the plot close a bit. Also, not a fan of the present tense telling not showing writing or the stilted dialogue. I'll keep plugging away, though.

"True love, like any other strong and addicting drug, is boring-once the tale of encounter and discovery is told, kisses quickly grow stale and caresses tiresome...except, of course, to those who share the kisses, who give and take the caresses while every sound and color of the world seems to deepen and brighten around them. As with any other strong drug, true first love is really only interesting to those who have

I like this book when I'm reading it, but I don't feel compelled to pick it up in every free second. This is a different reading experience for me. I guess it all depends on the ending.
