The narrator is so unlikeable 😬. I know her current relationship is supposed to fail so the main one can get started, but she treated the other woman like crap and now I have a hard time rooting for her… things like “she was hot, no doubt about it, but I was getting bored again” made her sound like an asshole. Hopefully it will get better

I’m really struggling with this one. Started skimming through it so I can make it to the end… I love Noyes’ books in general, so I’ll try not to leave it at DNF 😭

I'm going to make myself finish this but I have to say I'm disappointed. Mostly I enjoy Jae's novels (not the sequels though), but I'm so annoyed by the characters' attitudes in this one... First a good AE would never do most of the things Austen does (the problem being the book claims she's actually good) then, after 50% of the book, Danielle did something so appalling it ruined this as a "fun read" for me.
