This is like a very long fairytale. I'm not exactly enjoying the read.

I'm near the end of the book and still waiting to understand why Patricia has two lives. The book started with her dementia and confusion, but I don't think that explains two fully remembered lifetimes told by the narrator. What is her real life? Maybe that will be revealed in the last few pages of the novel. Hmm
