I was so close to DNFing this but it's so bad that the only way I'll feel better about wasting my time reading it is if I can complain about it in detail afterwards.

I've only just discovered that this book is actually a memoir... whole time I thought it was fiction...!

This is getting so good. I just know my jaw is gonna be on the floor once I find out who the murderer is (or murderers) !!

So far, I am really enjoying this story. The conversations I'm having with myself about this 'perfect' society! Dystopian really is my genre lol

Not only am I learning about Viola but I'm also learning about life, about myself. Just wow.

I adore Sam. She is so endearing. I'll be rooting for her. I also know that if a romance develops between Sam and AJ, ahhhh my heart will be sooo happy :)

My stress levels are off the charts right now - please, I need this book to have a good ending. These characters deserve a happy ending!!

Both Noor and Sal have my heart. Auntie Misbah too, who is an actual angel.

This book is just full of surprises...! Who knew Snow's backstory would be so interesting? Really enjoying this!

This book has me tearing up on my daily commutes to/from work!! Some of these characters are really going through it. Main themes around grief and foster care are being explored well.

I don't want this book to end... :(

This is such a heavy read but I am truly engrossed. Yaa Gyasi is a great storyteller.

There's never a dull moment with this book; I still can't believe everything that's happened so far. I'm really enjoying Agnieszka's narration, The Dragon has grown on me, and I have such a soft spot for Kasia. Looking forward to reading on.

I'm making slow progress with this book but I feel like part of it is down to the fact that there's a lot of content to take in. And quite a lot has happened considering I'm only 65 pages in. I like the main character, Agnieszka, a lot. The Dragon... I don't expect his character to be sunshine and roses but his rudeness towards Agnieszka is irritating me.

So far so good! It's been great- finally being able to understand what goes through Nesta's mind, why she thinks/ behaves the way she does. I'm also loving the morning training sessions with Cassian. Yay for finding ways for women to heal and feel empowered. Oh and Amren remains to be one of my favourites!
