Reading this for an easy win because I feel too sad to continue reading Yesteryear today. I think the last time I read this, I was also learning about the FOIL method (the Parrot’s Beak is a far superior method just because of how intuitive it is imo)

I hate her already lol

Quite a slow book, which was how it was advertised. But because very little actually happens, it’s been quite tough to get through. I’ve been reading it on and off for a month.

The author keeps having the characters refer to West/Liam's penis as Goddamn (as in "his Goddamn) and it's so off-putting lol

Reader, I fear I am too dumb for this book 😭 it is taking me forever to get through it because Jane writes such long sentences and paragraphs!!

I also thought I'd feel more emosh about Darcy's confession.

I am almost ashamed to admit that I am reading this for the first time EVER! Mrs Bennet is a hoot and I cannot read her lines without hearing an exaggerated Southern accent in my head

This is basically a publication of Le Guin's blogs from the early 2010s and it's making me miss blogging. As with typical blog entries, they're musings about mundane things (there's an entire entry about how not having a car now means she has to keep to a once a week grocery routine) but I am absolutely riveted by them.

All aboard the Emily Henry redemption arc - v cute so far.

Tough to get through this chapter (Places We Go When We're Hurting), probably because I remember exactly when I last felt Anguish and Despair - May 10, 2022 when Leni Robredo lost the elections.

GOODNESS, we're now on disappointment which resonated so much! Root of disappointment being unmet expectations :( some of my biggest arguments and hurt feelings come from unmet (but also unexpressed) expectation.

Interesting distinction between envy vs jealousy:

Envy - when we want what someone has (hostility optional).
Jealousy - when we fear losing a relationship or valued part of a relationship we already have.
