So far the author has ditched the second law of thermodynamics, come up with a unified theory, skipped electricity, and ignored quantum mechanics completely. Sci-Fi fans tend to be sticklers for details such as the laws of physics - this book must have been met by outrage and righteous indignation

As much as I hate to admit it, this book is much better now that I have watched the TV show. With so many characters all named Thomas, Henry, Anne, Richard, Stephen, or Mary, the book becomes difficult to follow. Watching the show (and the quality of the acting) gave me faces and mannerisms to put to the names, and has made this book much more enjoyable.

This book is messing with my head. I grew up with cops, doctors & nurses - I don't scare easily. I love horror movies and novels, including Clive Barker. But I've been reading this book for 2 days & I have barely been able to sleep, and when I have slept I've had nightmares.
It's not particularly well written - full of cliches and strange slang. But it has totally gotten under my skin.

I'm over half way through this book, and it has just started to become interesting. Carl Sagan needed better editors.

Oh my god. I haven't cried this much since Sirius Black died.
