The Variance Court-Alexia Purdy: Once I got to the end, I liked this story. There is a rather abrupt shift from one character to another that I wish had been handled a little more smoothly. Lovely little tale of how things aren't what they seem and how quickly our lives can change!

Drawn to the Brink-Tara Maya:
I loved the premise of this story, but the use of certain words/phrases made it difficult to follow, especially at the beginning.

Faescorned-Jenna Elizabeth Johnson:
I really enjoyed this tale and would love to know why she was affected by her lover the way she was.

Beauty Inside the Beast-Danielle Monsch: I was intrigued by this story, but it ends extremely abruptly without explaining anything at all. I would love to read more of this one.

The Grim Brother-Audrey Faye:
This was such an awesome take on Hansel & Gretel! I recognized the story immediately, but it's definitely not the story you expect! It reminded me that there really are two sides to every story!

No Gift of Words-Annie Bellet:
I only have one word to describe this story: weird. I didn't really care for it.

Dance with the Devil-Donna Augustine:
This one really wasn't my cup of tea. I'm sure other readers will enjoy it, but the whole sell your sould to the devil thing has been done so many times in so many ways, that there's really just no unique twist left for it.

Magic After Midnight-C. Gockel:
I absolutely love that Step-mama got the happy ending this time around! It was unique and interesting, but there was a lot of Norse & other mythologies thrown in that made this already twisted tale difficult to follow. I realize this story is tied into a world of other stories created by the author, but this one is probably not the introduction a reader really wants into that world.

Bones-Yasmin Galenorn:
WTF did I just read? Once again, I recognize the original story, but can't name it (notice it's the ones dealing with faries?). This was a really cool tale of warning. I certainly didn't expect quite that ending when I first began!

The Queen of Frost and Darkness-Christine Pope:
Really interesting retelling of the Snow Queen. I loved the Russian setting, but it was difficult to picture the characters simply because I couldn't really pronounce their names. I do wish the mc had faced a little more trouble finding her way to the queen's palace.

Fae Horse-Anthea Sharp: I kind of know the story this is inspired by, but not well. This one was a little too short to tell the story she was trying to tell. I felt like there was a lot of missing story.

Yarrow, Sturdy and Bright- Devon Monk:
Really unique retelling of the Pied Piper. I'm happy that we got a happy ending, but I would have loved to have seen her face off a little more with the Piper.
