I’m going to rate this a three, right down the middle. Because it was EFFECTIVE. It kept me reading but not in a good way. I couldn’t stop reading it but I wanted desperately to. Like a car crash, you see it happening but you can’t look away. This is pure horror in a visceral sense and I will never reread it for my mental health. But it was definitely powerful and, if you have the stomach for it, a must-read.
