literally DYING to read the rest literally this book already brought me to tears in the first half but unfortunately it’s in my friend’s apartment library

i read nearly half the book in one night because the story was so good. it's at my friend's house and i'm dyinggggg to finish it. this book has a very specific theme that hits near and dear to me. it's tough to explain but, the plot follows tri-generational black family dynamics and explores agency vs. familial duty - particularly when navigating dating, marriage, and kids
