This book is FINALLY picking up a bit

I'm so friggin' invested in this series. I think they may become books I buy in non-digital form to reread and keep in my library forever 🤩

So far so good 👍🏻

"I have a podcast" she says finally.
Vera's eyebrows wrinkle together.

This audiobook narrator is exceptional

so far i like this one a lot better than book lovers

the love interest has the same name as my brother. this is going to be difficult.

"[...]but the impression he'd made had caused me to dream of him on more than one occasion in my narrow maid's bed" NO THANK YOU

chapter two:
- well shit

first chapter - first thoughts:
- the english translation of the title is very misleading. the word "gifted" should be something closer to "traumatized, forgotten and sensitive"
- this one's gonna hurt

my local library added this one as an audiobook so i just had to borrow it and immerse myself in this story again

mauri kunnas + the beatles = right up my alley

this frankenstein dude does a lot of walking around and sulking in self-pity. sometimes for entire chapters.

it took half the book for it to get interesting

why was there a random ED joke in here??

- these people are all awful
- i can't tell the twins apart. i barely remember their names
- the pacing is off

let's hope the second half is better and makes my suffering worth it
