Strangely hedonistic while also being very dark and brooding (which makes sense, considering it's POV cannibal psychopath serial killer)

The writing is *just* this side of like overly wordy and pretentious but unlike a different book I recently read-- where somewhat outlandish descriptions/metaphors felt out of place and unnecessary-- I think this writing voice really suits the character and adds to the personality the author has been building so far.

Side note: reading this makes me feel ;-; unhinged
