1 Samuel- Samuel judges Israel, Saul becomes king, lord regrets, David chosen by God and anointed with oil by Samuel. David and Goliath, Samuel dies, Saul killed.

Judges- Firstly, the term "came on him" is what is used. It isn't the lord blessed them or surrounded them; it is "the lord came on him" and then they would do the powerful thing. Do with that what you will.
Now, 2:10 "That whole generation was also gathered to their ancestors. After them another generation rose up who did not know the Lord or the works he had done for Israel"-disaster on them, suffering.

Genesis- Creation, 7th day rested, Cain and Abel, Noah's ark, Abram/Abraham, Sodom and Gomorrah, Isaac, Jacob/Israel, Joseph, sold to slavery in Egypt, interprets Pharaoh dream about famine, rules over Egypt, Joseph brings father Israel/Jacob and brothers to Egypt.
