This book has been going agonizingly slow. While I relate to the FMC’s imposter syndrome, I think this book is taking it too far. I don’t know how a character can be so anxiety ridden, people - pleasing and yet make everything about themselves ALL OF THE TIME!

I’m sure this is a pretty good book but i just read the done and dusted series and the brothers best friend/cowboy romance made me snooze (100% a me problem)!
I will probably pick this back up after a little break!

India Holton is probably the only one who can make me love a miscommunication trope. I was waiting for this book since i’d read book 1 and I cannot wait to get into it. This is probably the rarest plotline ever but as someone raised on “Ekta Kapoor” soaps, I LOVE a good, love after marriage(secretly also before) story.

I am loving the two leads so far. They are extremely endearing and real. I love the moments on the radio show, both on and off the air, smiles and conversations that go from funny and nonsensical to intriguing and soulful, the way Aiden cannot help but be hopeful around her and how Lucie is afraid but confident. It’s slow, like indoor moments on a rainy day. The romance happens in stolen glances. I love it!

Their 2nd extended meet cute is probably the cutest thing I have read in a while.

As a woman who loves to collect man tears and generally not listen to others and more specifically MAN-kind, this book is personally offensive to me.

Literally 3 pages in. Tabitha is ….. i am speechless. She is just 10/10 (keeping this household together, firstborn vibe!!! ) I love HER! I feel sad for her, i empathize with her, I am her!!!

The book has finally picked up in pacing (or atleast it seems like it has). Still too many loose threads so it is a little confusing but i’m hoping the later chapters will reveal all the “missing pieces”

I have found myself on the dark romance side of KU.

The story has gotten marginally better and I have willed myself to finish this today! No more will I be distracted by shorter and better romances. Also I have a copy of The Plus One on the shelf to start as soon as I am done with this. I hope that’s all the incentive I need!

I am so close to DNF’ing this book. There is no character development. This is like reading about the bitchy popular girl get with the popular but actually nice guy. What does he see in her besides beauty ???? It is actually painful for me to finish a chapter but I haven’t DNF a book yet so I will get through this as well but it actually pains my brain to do so.

I don’t read enemies-to-lovers, I consume it.
