Really appreciating this book so far. The main character is both repugnant and relatable. Although this book is by no means a comedy (it's about someone who is trying to sleep her life away to deal with her trauma, after all), there is a lot of absurd humor throughout the book that has made it a quick read for me.

The author objectifies people's bodies and employs some weird, ethnic jokes in a couple earlier chapters. He also thinks he's extremely clever and witty. I hate the style...but it's the age of Corona and I desperately wanted to read a travel book about featuring a few particular cities in the book so we're going to give it one more attempt. 2 stars at the moment.
