Is this YA?

I will force myself to finish this but there's so much talking and description and so little of anything happening, it's mind numbing.

Only 35% in and the author has mixed up Evelyn and Margaret multiple times, which is sloppy writing and sloppier editing. Evelyn also seems to suddenly know an awful lot about the occult.

These characters are not likeable at all.

Constantly writing "manner" for "manor" among other errors.

The stories are decent but this author always feels a need to beat you over the head with a brick with exposition, repetitious and unnatural.

Way too much exposition. Repetitive. Really dislike this author's style.

The author writes very stilted dialogue that doesn't feel natural. I just read something else by her and thought the same thing. Story is okay but repetitive and poor flow again due to the dialogue.

I really hate books written entirely in present tense, so I can tell this is going to be a struggle.

Does anything eventually happen?!

Hero is an absolute jackass. Nothing endearing or likeable about any of the characters.

For the love of anyone please use paragraphs. I hate massive walls of text that can be broken down into a more readable state.

Way too preachy. Those interested in reading this would be the ones who don't need the message rammed down their throats.

Right now I'm disgusted by the main character's little stunt to get a woman to go out with him. It's the trick of a stalker, but it's supposed to make the guy suave and cool? The term is actually "gaslighting". Talk about leaving a bad taste, and not even 10% in, I'll read a little further but doubt it'll change my mind enough to finish.

Like a preteen boy's imaginings of violence, misogyny, and language. Going to be a struggle to get through.

Enough with the golden curls already. Get a thesaurus.

DNF. I had no interest in any of this characters

Awful editing. Story with the nun has so many errors it's like a 10 year old wrote it.

Is there an actual story in here? Very repetitive conjecture more than anything.
