I'm reading The Mysteries of Udolpho

19 Dec - the book must go back to the library before I have a chance to finish it. I've skimmed through and read a few pages here and there but that's not enough. I'll request it again because I want to read it all. The man turns out to be rather clever with words as well as tones.

This is going to be a good one! I love old Joseph Wasserman.

Three hundred pages in and I've just gotten started. It's a wonderful story in the style of Les Miserables and The Count.

My, my. So much to learn about the life of hospital nurses.

The book is back from the library and I have three weeks to read it. I had read only 30 pages when it had to be returned last time. Now, having just finished Jane Eyre, I expect it will hold my interest better.

A thousand pages in and I'm suddenly bogged down, much like Napoleon retreating from Moscow.

This book is just as good as they have been saying it is!

Previously read in 2010.

The red thumb mark of the title is a fingerprint in blood so this seemed a good mystery to read after my week of learning about thumbmarks in my forensics course.

This is my third reading of the novel. I want to re-read this and Bring Up the Bodies in anticipation of the release soon of the third book in the Cromwell trilogy.

This book is on hold as it had to go back to the library. I've requested it again as I do want to read it, although I'm not really enjoying it.
