Why the hell is there a musical erupting in the middle of this book.

I can usually tolerate camp, but this is next level "I had to put the book down and then skip the entire fucking chapter otherwise I would have ripped it out of the book" visceral kind of hate.

Not gonna lie, that prologue has me absolutely anxious about this book's romantic trajectory. Age gaps are already SOMETHING in fantasy, but uhhh...my dude is a grown man and the FMC is literally a toddler.....UHHHHH :/

Did...did we seriously need three to four paragraphs explaining why the effing F train is the MC's favorite train?

I feel like everyone has been warning the MC about all the things that she just ignores and yet goes ahead with. And now she has the audacity to be mad about it. Like girl, pls, YOU WERE TOLD.

I think I liked this better when there'd been no plot.

About a half second close to just calling it quits on this one based on the miscommunication trope alone. Fuck that shit.

The willingness to knife each other is the true sign of enemies to lovers. If we can prolong and slow burn this, I would not mind at all. 🤣

The dragons themselves are adorable characters, and I might actually have preferred them over the humans (go figure). Seriously, is it too much to hope that Emily turns out to be an ex-spy/assassin and that's how she knows the ins and outs of getting away with--quite literally and metaphorically--murder? Yes? Dammit.

Circe's island was one of my favorite scenes in the Odyssey, and I cannot wait to get to that bit! (Honestly, I think I'm already there...)

So I got through a few hours of the audiobook which is DIVINE, btw...but returned it afterwards.

Because um...you see...I WANT TO ACTUALLY READ THIS BOOK. LIKE. I want to flip the PAGES. And own an actual copy. And...yeah.

Okay. I'll eat my tongue now because my shipping has completely changed after this book. That being said, there really is only one way for the IT couple to make it out. And I'd be okay with that...IF SHE FIXES MY BOI FIRST.
