I no longer feel the overwhelming urge to pitch this book out the nearest open window, and hopefully into an open manhole. That said Brooks is just not a good writer, at least not at the time, this was published. The characters are… perhaps "character" is too strong a word to describe the forgettable people that occupy this story. Why am I doing this to myself?

This was a best seller? Hold on, I think one of my eyes has started bleeding.
