Might be a little in love with the author at this point in time.

“She nearly turned her ankle..” I cackled!!! So very much enjoying this book and all of the gods being amalgamated from all the ancient cultures. So glad I got a paperback instead of kindle.

“The thought of what he is really like makes her sad, rather than angry. After all, she is not his little bird either.” Oh Elodie, I so wish you wrote sapphic tales because Amara’s love for Dido could never compare for her hatred of all the wretched men in her life. Her love for Britanica and Victoria are so starkly contrasted with her feelings towards the men. So enjoying the follow up to Wolf Den.

“I thought…that I was beautiful in your eyes, but I see now that I was only beautiful when we were mirrors of each other.” So cutting.

Entranced. Everything I wanted, enraptured in Circe’s journey which is both fast paced and eternal considering her unending life

“…and those teeth - thank Lurline your second set were more human!” Is this hinting at the many part animal, part human hybrids discussed thus far in the novel? Imagining Elphaba a Chameleon woman, fitting in while standing out as an odd creature incapable of being singular when every contact with the world is shaped by how she already is.

Lovely travel book, enjoyed taking it to New Orleans and eating at the famous Dooky Chase Restaurant.

Language is a bit dated to stay interested but a casual read around the house book when I have time. Also distracting to get the songs from the musical stuck in my head, might be easier once the craze dies down.

Love to read while traveling!
