I just finished The Invention of Wings: A Novel (Original Publisher's Edition-No Annotations). If you loved the secret Life of Bees you'll love this. Historic fiction about 2 women I was not familiar with, Sarah and Angelina Grimke. These two southern born from a slave owning family were early feminist and abolitionists. Great courage. Good story telling. Slavery passages difficult at times.
