This has been an enlightening book. I've stayed open-minded anyway but I appreciate how the author uses his personal experience and biblical knowledge from his further study to counter the assumptions formed about gays. I wish the church truly knew how hurtful most of them are being.

When I first heard "Never," I thought I discovered a new song from David Bowie I hadn't heard. Obviously it wasn't him, but Rick Astley mentioned how he wanted to learn to sing like Bowie. Well done, sir - you did it!

I love how personal Astley wrote and what he shared about his childhood, though it was hard. I love how he found love through music, both for himself and the person he ended up being with.

It's definitely slower than the other two books so far like what a lot of readers have been saying. But it is still enjoyable.

It was not necessarily a gripping read but I could appreciate a narrative from an aliens point of view which I feel is needed in the science fiction/fantasy genre. At the same time, it felt mostly like a romance. Nothing wrong with it and my expectations are maybe too high. As someone who writes science fiction and fantasy, I know how difficult those genres can be. I did enjoy it even if it's not one of my favorites.

It's really hard to put this down! If not for work, I'd probably read it all the way through. The chemistry between Xaden and Violet is really sexy - makes me wish I could experience it. Aside from that, really gripping plot about dragon riders. I feel like this is way better than Christopher Paolini's trilogy.

Since the beginning when Sierra found out her love interest Caleb attacked his sister with a knife, there's been a lot of drama. Sierra gave him more of a chance than adults have. That also doesn't make since because if her parents were concerned, I feel like they would've grounded her more. I would've liked to see secret meetings between the two. This book isn't as well written as Thirteen Reasons Why.

I started reading a few weeks ago but the chapter didn't really pull me in. I didn't really like any of the characters at all, especially Heather. The plot seems to directly contradict Thirteen Reasons Why, which is about bullying and how you treat others can affect their mental health. I'm only continuing to read because Caleb, the main character, is really sweet.

I feel like the plot hasn't really picked up until 188. But I think I anticipated more of a mystical tone rather than a mysterious one. Sam stumbled on The Order by accident and with how the author described what was going on, it intrigued me more than any other chapter.

The plot feels slow and a bit predictable. I'm not sure why the letter is so important. I feel like the author could've added more action, especially with the villains of the story.
