Why does she hate women so much?? I know that LKH has done therapy…it is pushed down our throats in every new Anita book now. But, damn, why has she not worked on the misogyny. It’s always, Anita is better than a woman since she is more like a man. Seriously????

Seriously?? What kind of friends has this woman had? SHE HATES WOMEN. The whole “a three way is a trap” conversation is for idiotic, immature women. Ugh. Why do I keep reading this drivel?

"Shadow and Branch, Ghost Fruit Among the Lullabies" by Saba Syed Razvi

I didn't really like this one. It was just a bunch of sensory images woven into a somewhat story. It should have been a poem. It felt like a poem.

"Baba Yaga in Repose" by Heather Miller

This was sad. A Baba Yaga who the world has forgotten. Too sad.

"Maw Maw Yaga and the Hunter" by Alexandrew Weis

This was cute. It was a story about a Cajun hunter and Baba Yaga becomes the protector of the swamp. I really liked it.

"Where the Horizon Meets the Sky" by R.J. Joseph

This one was weird, and it honestly made me feel some kind of way...it was strange. Was it an unhappy marriage? Was it the sex? Either way, is it worth a bad marriage to be Baba Yaga? I'd like to say no, but I was in that bad marriage and, honestly, if Baba Yaga would have come to me, I would have said yes. Anything to be free.

"Chicken Foot" by Octavia Cade

I loved this one! Scientific discovery of what type of bird foot will work best as the feet of a house. Poor canaries (horrid medium)...but maybe that's why pelicans became endangered.

"Stork Bites" by Ev Knight

A Roe v Wade solution that is a bit extreme.

"Fair Trade" by Jacqueline West

Did not like this one-I mean, it's an excellent story-it's an excellent premise, but as an adult woman who has suffered from jealousy and insecurity...I really did not like this one. It hits too close to home.

"Baba Yaga Learns To Shave, Gets Her Period, Then Grows Into Her Own" by Jess Hagemann

What Baba Yaga, and all women, could be if we learned to harness our power and didn't listen to criticism.

"A Trail of Feathers, A Trail of Blood" by Stephanie M. Wytovich
Bargains with Baba Yaga are a bitch. This one was particularly icky.

"All Bitterness Burned Away" by Jill Baguchinsky
This was an interesting one. Baba Yaga as the savior for children who had been abandoned in the woods. I really liked this one.

"Herald the Knight" by Mercedes M. Yardley
This was also a favorite. Baba Yaga falls in love with the Black Knight. He is a fearsome, lovely man who finds what he needs in her. And she finds what she needs in him. I just wish that she didn't wait so long. "When two wild things are meant to be, they simply are. That's the way of it."

"Water Like Broken Glass" by Carina Bissett
This was sad. Beginning with a murder, then introducing Nazi's to the story, then a love story that ends with one of them turning into a monster and one of them already living as one. It was a sad story.

"Birds of a Feather" by Monique Snyman
This one was pretty horrifying. It was a true horror story. Three predators keep victimizing young women in their town until Baba Yaga decides to take one and make her super strong. And they get their revenge. NOICE!

"Sugar and Spice and the Old Witch's Price" by Lisa Quigley
This one was horrible. Is this why mothers kill their children? Is it the promise of Baba Yaga that makes them kill the monsters in their home? Mayhaps.

"The Space Between the Trees" by Jo Kaplan
Another daughter of Baba Yaga's. One who loves her mother and is under her spell, so doesn't see the horror of her own life until a man wakes her eye. However, once she finds out that her own father tried to kill her, she can't quite care anymore.

"The Peddlers Promise" by Catherine McCarthy
This one feels very old-timey Russian. Baba poses as a peddler and takes away the boyos from the village to greet her oven. This is why we don't take gifts from strangers.

"Flood Zone" Donna Lynch
This was pretty good. Poor Baba Yaga, every time that she has children, they either betray her or leave. She doesn't do well with keeping them around. At least the children survive...and are free to fly.

"Mama Yaga" by Christina Sng
The story of Hansel and Gretel from the voice of Baba Yaga, Mama Yaga, herself. This is how she becomes the candy treat witch.

"Wormwood" by Lindz McLeod
Oooh, this was a good one. A Baba Yaga for vengeance. Bringing pain to a bad man who killed his wife. Delicious!

"Of Moonlight and Moss" by Sara Tantlinger
This one was my favorite story. A kind Baba Yaga who shows unkind truths to the princess without a real kingdom. They deserved it. Also, I loved Ivan. He was the best character in the whole book!

"The Story of a House" by Yi Izzy Yu
This was soooo sad. The story of Baba Yaga's chicken foot house's origin. Poor thing, its mother killed by a fox, its body turned into a house, its spirit waiting forever for Baba Yaga to return. So sad.

"Last Tour into the Hungering Moonlight" by Gwendolyn Kriste
A story of the hunger inside a woman's breast. I have felt this in my first marriage. Possibly my only marriage. The need and the hunger to let it all burn to the ground.

"Dinner Plans with Baba Yaga" by Stephanie M. Wytovich

It's a poem. A weird, creepy poem.

Rapunzel…when it doesn’t quite work out. A love stronger than death or time. How sweet and tragic. On the other hand, the Woodcutter will not be alone and will have a daughter to share his hut.

The Lorelei

This was a Siren story…and I think that he will get the girl at the end.
