A new book by one of my favorite authors! I’m EXCITED!!!!!!!

Finally Nina’s POV! A breath of fresh air.

I saw The Housemaid in theaters last week. I went with my best friend and we both agreed the movie had been fantastic. We laughed, we gasped, we reviewed it throughly afterwards!!! Safe to say I bought the book instantly……..not sure it was the best idea. To begin with, I find Millie’s pick me attitude insufferable. I enjoyed Nina and Andrew character arcs in the movie but it’s nonexistent in the books. Welp

I loved meeting the elves!!!!! It has happened all through this book, but here specially I could picture the architecture and landscape so well. Very interesting to meet them after only knowing about them through Rupert’s unreliable narration. Even the short interaction with Lord Argelos was charged with emotion, and held so much backstory in just a few lines. Real love is giving up to our own wants!! Loved it.

The baby thing came up!!!! AMAZING! I did NOT see that coming

This book continues to pleasantly surprise me! I knew a twist was coming, but I had no idea how it would go down! I mean, I did thought I’d caught a glimpse of some of the loose edges, but everything I suspected was wrong! I enjoyed that very much. Now, I have no idea how Juliette will turn things around. Looking forward to see!

Okay so, chapter 15 is insane. That was the sweetest thing I’ve ever read. I’m in love with this book.

Okay so, I really really really like this book! The main character has my body type and hairstyle so I’m able to relate to her very well cause I’m a sucker for a self insert book. Also the plot is interesting and well written! It is instalove between the main characters but also somewhat a slow burn. Also Rupert is so different and cheeky, I love reading his thoughts! Loving this.

Was actually avoiding reading this book because of the cover, but I’m three chapters in and I’m pleasantly surprised! There is good plot construction and the characters are super interesting!!!!! A lot of potential for favorite read of the year here!
