I made the mistake of reading this while eating a chicken quesadilla. 🤢

At first I was not following this book, but now I’m like “okay this is good.” But also, I read reviews that say it gets really boring and stupid after 50% & I’m worried 😧

This book is a lot like Mexican Gothic.

Listening to the audiobook of this one. Reminds me so much of NADDPod.

This book is good but the writing style is a lil confusing to me. I didn’t realize until just now, but the author also wrote The Only Good Indians, which I DNF’d solely because of the writing style.

Surprised this isn’t a movie. This is movie material.

I’m probably enjoying this one the least of all the books so far. I think it has a lot to do with the subway style dungeon level.

My first spooky book of the season (ha I always read spooky books) is pretty disappointing. Bad review coming soon if this doesn’t improve.

I really hope this book gets better because I’ve heard such great things about this author. So far it’s kinda boring and a little random. Lots of little random elements, that I’m sure are connected in the end, but now feel very convoluted. Also, the MC is supposed to be ~50, but doesn’t convince me. If it wasn’t for the constant pre-menopause mentions, I would swear she’s in her early 20s.

Didn’t realize how much trauma was gonna be in this book. The first traumatic event made me sit it down for a few days to process. NOW HIS FATHER HAS CANCER AND HE WONT TREAT IT 😭 😭 😭

By some magical turn of events, I was offered another 3 free months of Kindle Unlimited by Amazon. So now I can continue the Dungeon Crawler Carl series 🥹

I’m only reading this bc when I was like 13 I read the Time Traveler’s Wife and it changed my life. The premise sounded similar, but the vibes are not.

I cannot tell if I love or hate this book. It is simultaneously so boring but so interesting.

Putting a dent in these Libby holds I’ve been passing since December. 🤪

This series is sososo good. I’m sad I’m not gonna be able to read the next few books until I get back my kindle unlimited.

This book is too much suspense and not enough action. I’m holding out tho, I have a feeling it gets better.

I messed up by reading books about missing girls back to back. I’ve wanted to read this book for a while, but I shouldn’t have read it right after Pretty Girls. 😩

Day 2 of begging someone else to read this with me. Princess Donut the cat can talk now, and she actually has much stronger stats than Carl. They’ve fought goblins, a lava llama, and a big lady at a junk yard that vomits roaches (boss battle). They found a “safe house” which was basically a foreign McDonald’s where they rested while a guy cooked Indian food for Carl and salmon for Donut.

Someone plz read this book with me it’s so fun. 🤩
