I don’t want to read some outta pocket smut for the holiday season, istg!! but the demons 👹

I’m gonna be fr I was eating this up, even when folks repeatedly let out breaths they didn’t know they were holding…until the last 15%. I know that was supposed to be the peak, but it just fell flat for me.

So apparently there are two books by this name… one that is a snappy thriller with unexpected plot twists, and the other one that is THIS book. I hate all the characters, the plot is the most straightforward and uninspired thing I’ve read in a long time, and now I’m two thirds of the way through the book. Ugh. A mediocre man gradually asserts total authority over a bright woman? Oh boy oh boy 😒
