This is apparently a digital scan of a photocopy, with none of the usual perks of an ebook. With the print enlarged as far as it will go, which I normally would not need to do, the print is still too small to read, and I have to further enlarge each page manually, as the enlarged page must be removed prior to turning to the next page. Highlighting and annotations are not available.

This book was chosen by an online s-f book group in which I participate, and it's been a long time since I read anything by Butler, so wasn't sure what to expect. It's a fascinating take on vampires, and really original. I look forward to getting back to it every night.

I am listening to the audiobook, which Goodreads apparently doesn't list. This frequently happens with author-read books, but this has multiple narrators, and adding any name in addition to Meacham's produces no result.

This is the October selection for an online book group in which I participate. I haven't read any Octavia Butler in a long time, so I wasn't sure what to expect. But it's definitely drawing me in. Seems like a very original take.
