So far, so good. She writes well, very well, that will probably carry me through to the end of the book whether I like it or not. :)

Scary facts: 4 companies in each own: 88% of boiler chickens, 84% of beef, 64% of pork, 74% of grains.

Knew I was really into the story when, as I read of their search to find a way to kill the Bane, somewhere in the back of my mind I thought, "I should google that to find out." :D

...many talk about the joy of salvation, but few experience the joy of it.

Chapter 2: Nothing I didn't already know or do. Next chapter will be different though. :D

Realistic: not everyone can afford organic,fair-trade clothing. Ridiculous: use UR hand 2 warm baby wipes. She must have mighty warm hands. Not 2 get nitpicky but a warmer takes up no extra space &uses very little electricity. UR computer or TV use more. I appreciate,though,that she is not dogmatic (so far) in her approach. She claims simple living is different 4 each family. We'll see how that works out.

Reading this for church. It's really not a book I would normally be interested in, but I guess I'll give it that old college try. ;)
