This is so much more than historical fiction! The cover lends antiquity, but Cavallaro's fresh, unique concepts and "what if?" perceptions breathe life and modern realism into the stories, which will tantalize even those who do not think historical fiction is their genre. This book is for all who have dared to dream and see beyond the accepted "facts" of mythology. Maybe historical bias has altered the myths?

I am reading this slowly and giving myself practice, meditative session time between absorption readings.

Interesting, but perhaps a little restrictive. I'll make that determination further into the book.

Had to put on a back burner, unfortunately. Duty called, writing and editing. I'll be back to it in a few months. Roberta Gellis does historical fiction romance well.

This Preston/Child Sequel is worth it at this point!

Glad to see Preston and Child getting back to the roots of this series. They got off-track in "White Fire", but I'm glad to see Pendergast as well as Margo Green, the NY Museum, D'Agosta, and Constance back as major characters.

Like a fresh breeze from across the pond.

Just couldn't get into the story... jumbled up and too many characters with names that change, depending on who's speaking with them. The narrator, in first-person, is sometimes confused with the dialogue.

Better than most books on marketing. It was recommended to me by a fellow-author blogger. Worth reading, if you are promoting a book.

CONFLICTED HEARTS by D.G. Kaye is an inspiration to all who have suffered from guilt and survived.
