There will be tears. Big, huge tears.

So sad to read, this morning of the death of Nikki Giovanni, a wonderful poet and one of my college professors. Reading this, which is new to me, to remember her.

I’ve started this but I’m just going to read little by little, as the mood strikes.

***I’m only on chapter nine and the audiobook of this is forty-eight hours long. I only listen in the car, so it will be a long time before I finish. However, let me say, that if you are interested in this book, PLEASE consider the audio version, read by the woman herself. You would probably be hearing her inimitable voice anyway, plus she laughs at her own jokes, and there are archival performances on the audio
