The book is a bit disturbing in its glimpse into the mind affected by Alzheimers/dementia. The mysteries of the book was effectively handed, yet one can sense the frustrations of the main character as she strings her clues together only to lose the thread in her own mind. Brilliantly written, but not for someone who just wants a fun/easy read.

Awesome book ..covers a lot of territory.

This book was amazing, entertaining -- funny at times, sad at others but hopeful throughout. As a grieving widow myself, I found it very therapeutic. He has the best, most accurate definition of grief that I've ever heard.

Enthralling from page one! The story moves quickly, drawing the reader in and making them want to find out what's going to happen next.

First King book in quite some time for me- it did not disappoint.

The second story, The Life of Chuck was somewhat anti climatic. And while answering the central quwestion, left so many others untouched.

Finished with first story, "Mr. Harrigans Phone." and it was suitably creepy. And well underway on the second.

Interesting take on the story ..how poor little Cruella became "that awful De Vil woman.' The roots of Cruella and Anita's friendship, the multiple tragedies of young Cruella's life, how Perdita came into the scene, why Cruella's hair is white and where her daily uniform of little black dress, jade earrings and THAT fur started and many more questions are answered in this delightful book.

Epic. My fiance wanted me to read this series, as we watched the series together. The series was fairly close to the book at this point, already looking forward to the next book.

A sweet light Christmas read with just enough intrigue to make it enjoyable
