So far so good. Kuang does a good job of gripping the reader’s attention from the first page. It’s more plot heavy at the moment but let’s see if it switches to character heavy.

Things are going *too* well... And there’s still a chunk of the book to go…

‘They did the butterfly stroke, which I think is daft. It takes too much energy to do it, and why is a swimming stroke named after a creature that’s rubbish in water?’ 😂
