The pace and frequency at which magnificent life advice is being blasted at me… I can hardly keep up. 🥹

Oh, the joy of a big, dreamy tome that pulls you in from the very beginning!

Splendid so far! A rich exploration of moral relativity and how at most times we’re just one circumstance away from the desperation from which perfectly understandable criminal behaviour may emerge.

I’m waiting for something radical to happen so the ratings here start making sense. Or may be I’m not the TA for this.

Trust Zafon to convert me into a plot-driven person! Rationing this carefully because I want to stay with it just a tad longer. Stunning writing! Wonderfully paced too.

I appreciate a book that can keep me from reaching for my phone on a 4 hours long flight without even trying. Predicting 5 stars here.

This book is healing parts of me that I didn’t know were damaged. ❤️

I’ve only just begun but it’s quite clear that I’m reading a work that deserves to be celebrated a whole lot more. This is world class writing! I’ll be rationing this one mindfully to prolong the reading experience.

I’m feeling a multitude of emotions, some truly conflicting. Parts of this book have made me uncomfortable and others have felt balmy and soothing. I don’t know which way things will go from here but either way, I’m hooked.

As far as self-help goes, this is such an effective antidote to frustrating 300 pagers that could have been a blog post. As the author claims, there’s no unnecessary fluff here and I truly appreciate that. Here’s hoping I haven’t spoken too soon. Excited to complete this one soon.

There’s the usual knot in my system that I get while reading Murakami’s works, not knowing where things are going, unsure of what to expect if anything at that, but convinced deep down that it’ll make sense in a bit.

Sally Rooney is incomparable when it comes to breaking down an overthinker’s mental gymnastics during seemingly mundane day to day interactions. I’m in awe of the empathy and compassion she must possess to bring such articulation and depth to experiences so many of us live on auto-pilot, almost. Hooked!

Hurriedly picked this up mistaking it for a How-to approach to listening better in general. I’m glad I was wrong. This book is more so an expansion on Fromm’s approach to psychoanalysis, most prominently dealing with the clash between the rational and irrational components of one’s personality. Learning heaps!

Magnificent writing! This makes for a perfect one-sitting read but I've decided to stop so as to prolong the reading experience. A beauty!
