Upon further reading, I’ve discovered I am Rosie…

It’s really interesting to see how much I relate to Rosie. I was worried that reading a book about pursuing acting might be too “on the nose,” but I’m finding a lot of stuff I’ve talked about with Prof Cox discussed in the book…

The book finally begins to pick up around page 165 but really becomes interesting at around page 200. The plot twists are good but also kind of predictable. I knew from the beginning that not everything would be as it seems and that someone would actually be dead; that the reality of the narrator is not the true reality. I wish the story had picked up sooner because that would have made it much more enjoyable.

So far, the story is slow and not very interesting. The biggest thing that’s happening is Cadence trying to discover what memories she’s missing after her accident, but even that isn’t being addressed. Kind of a disappointing plot line considering I’m already past page 100 and nothings actually happening.

This book was alright. The story didn’t really pick up until around page 200 and even then the stakes weren’t high. The plot twists were also kind of predictable. As for the characters, they were pretty static and didn’t seem like they would connect with many readers; there was nothing that made them really likable.
