I'm very confused about what kind of story this book is trying to be.

I still don't think I know what this book is about.

This was truly the perfect way to end the anthology.

If I'm not completely mistaken, this ties into an earlier story. The one with the owls.

That final sentence went hard!

It's remarkable how much of a punch these stories hold, even when they're really quite short. I can feel the words getting etched into my very being at times.

Another poem to be exact. Not in two languages this time, although it had words in a different language included.

Story 11: A Hollow Play

If that didn't hit right in the feels then I don't even know anymore. It was about a lot of things but it was the friendship angle that really drove the knife into the heart.

Story 10: Wing

I liked it but I'm not 100% sure I fully got it.

Story 9: The Truth About Owls

I was just chill learning facts about owls and maybe some new vocab while we're at it and then the story goes on and I just start crying ....

Story 8: Qahr

Again, this was a poem in two languages rather than a short story. How timely for me to learn about Qahr and its meaning.

Story 7: A Tale of Ash in Seven Birds

Not gonna lie, it took me a moment to realize it wasn't about seven different birds.

Story 6: And Their Lips Rang with the Sun

Oh, to hear the Sun-Women and Moon-Men perform their songs just once.

Story 5: Song for an Ancient City

This was actually more of a poem than a story. I liked it. Also enjoyed that it was included in 2 languages, even if I couldn't read both.

Story 4: The Lonely Sea in the Sky

Not me contemplating if adamancy is real ...

Story 3: Madeleine

This felt like one of those very rare but incredibly beautiful and hopeful "Black Mirror" episodes.

That was so intriguing and tragic and I wish there was more.
