I wanted to brew this book into my morning coffee and chew on its ideas line by line!

Oh My God, when will the tragedies over?

Whoa this part towards ending, so exciting 🥶 let see what will happen

I love the tone and all the sinister yet randomly funny things on Merricat's head.

Kind of in a slow pacing, but it's interesting so far.

kind of loathed by this Luo Ji Character, but the wallfacer idea is fascinating

so there’s this article with a headline

“Marcus Aurelius’ son was a murderous psychopath. Is Stoicism to blame?”

and it turn’s out in the article that his son is Anti-stoicism. Perhaps as a rebellious act against his father…

I could not move on from Samuel Hamilton, why doesn’t the story ends at this point… Adam’s life is better and Lee would have a bookstore.

Prince Andrei team,

I didn’t know Tolstoy would be this melancholy but I love it,

Also of course Tolstoy would include freemason

He also talk about the moon on the page 45:

"It was one day as I listened to baseball that it occurred to me how the moon actually moves, in a spiral, because while it orbits the earth it also follows the orbit of the earth around the sun."

"I realized that what I saw was a full moon rising just as the sun was going down. each of them was standing on its edge, with the most wonderful light between them" - page 14

I really like John Ames talking about the idea of the sun and the moon shining over each other.

It seems peculiar that Melville decided to review the Whale Paintings in the middle of a story. So random but enjoyable.

“Religion could quiet our antagonism if we let it be what it is fundamentally and at best”

"We are encourage to accept the inevitability of a dystopia, the brightest hope being that we or our children will do better than most people."

It’s like a roller coaster of nightmares so far

Well, until this far, I could possibly say that Elizabeth is positively Introvert

and

Mr. Darcy too
