This is a slow starter. We are getting Elwin's backstory and doing some world-building which is not always easy to understand. I have picked up other books since starting this one and finished them. I am afraid this one has lost me.

I enjoyed this book. The world building was maybe not as solid as it could have been. I was a little lost at times and some details that were mentioned once were not mentioned again or so infrequently that you didn't remember them when you encountered them later. There is another related book that is not available on Kindle which might help.

Still can't put this down and carry my Kindle everywhere so I can pick it up whenever I have a spare moment. Good thing I am busy at work or I would be reading it there, too!

Started this and then picked up Robin Hobb's Fools Assassin. I will get back to this one. Kind of a slow start, though.

I can't put this down. I was going to wait for the whole series to be published, but I just read a really horribly written series that I couldn't finish and I needed a good book!
