This was a slow starter for me, but it picked up. It became exciting and I enjoyed it.

This was as fun as the first book. I am looking forward to the third novel.

This was an excellent Sci-Fi! Good story with enough science to keep it interesting. The plot implies there will be more books. I sure hope so!

This was an excellent book. I liked the depth of the characters and the insight to the Chinese culture of the time.

Read the first of the 3 books, Local Custom. Taking a break and will come back and read the other 2 later.

My cd player started acting up and, truthfully, I was ready to give up anyway. I had 1 1/2 discs to go and just didn't care how it was going to end. I didn't like any of the characters and the story seemed to move very slowly. DNF.

There is a reason Warren Buffett gives stockholder speeches only once a year - they are repetitive and boring. Reading one after another is too much! I am having a hard time finishing this book, but I will keep plugging away.
