So far, an interesting take on extrapolating from where we are today into the future, and the aftermath of total eradication of the human race.

Depressing to read.

Couldn't put the book down, but you need to read the first in the series. Pretty innovative sub plot with the way Kvothe met and worked with a culture that used a combination of sign language and speech to communicate. Quite unique.

First fantasy I have read and it's interesting how the author has created a different universe - religion, science, demons etc that link together but still maintain universal truths.
