Truly enjoyed this book. Ms. Tina is a remarkable woman.

I finished the book a month ago and forgot to do an update. Interesting to learn about this icon. I try to watch her movies when they come on. I'd recommend this book if you're interested in Ms. Grier. She didn't hold back.

I just completed ch.14 of the book. The book was off to a slow start but has started to pick. It is interesting to learn that who we know as a sex symbol was a shy girl and the horrific experiences she endured.

Very much like other EJD books. Sex, adventure, nuances of relationships. Strong vocabulary.

I just completed chapter 18 and reading the accounts of the whippings is heart-wrenching. So far the book and the movie are very much in alignment with each other.

I am on chapter 16 and so far this is a good read. Mr. Northup's courage was amazing, especially for that era. The movie was good but the book is very notable.

Really enjoyed this eBook. It gave me some insight on Nia Simone Bijou.

I'm biased because a friend wrote the book. I enjoyed it. I especially appreciated the setting since I know the area.

The book has gotten a little better. The main character MX-401 is tough. Next update will be when I've finished the book.

So far the book is a slow read for me. Usually I can't put a EJD book down. The main character does not hold my attention. I'll keep reading.
