my main takeaway thus far is that I make a great survivalist

ok but if you’re gonna go on and on about dandelions you should at least know they’re monoecious (no male vs female flowers) and often self-fertilize so no leafcutter bee on flower. ALSO how tf would a hummingbird get dandelion nectar and why would a bird like a grouse that doesn’t eat seeds eat a dandelion seed unless it accidentally inhaled it???? don’t write science if you don’t get it at all??????

I’ve now tried to get through Helen McDonald’s intro twice before and failed. Third times a charm???

Leaving this as unfinished til I do the exercises in the book but I finished the reading portion on 7/20
