Florentino & Fermina are giving me Heathcliff & Cathy vibes.

I have a feeling I should've just DNF'ed this after Fermina rejected Florentino but I kept wanting to see if I would warm up to the story. Now 60% through and my dumb curiosity of how this all pans out is the only thing keeping me going because I lowkey can't stand any of these characters, especially Florentino. Dude just move on. 😭

Was gonna try to read this in spanish but gave up on that like 5 minutes in and had to switch over to the english version because I understood like half of what was happening. Didn't realize my spanish had gotten that bad. 😭
