What an impassioned, intelligent indictment of slavery in mid 19th century America. I only wish I had read this earlier as I've had it on my shelf for twenty years initially purchased as part of my journey into studying American literature. Stowe's political stance wouldn't look out of place in today's Black Lives Matters movement.
