Didn't expect to encounter the word "allosexism" in this book. I haven't seen that word in wide use since 2013, a decade before this book was published.

The time-out room is super fucked up. Even for parents who employ timeouts, there's not supposed to be anything purposely unpleasant the person in time-out has to endure (it's supposed to be boring) and you don't put a kid older than like, 10 in time-out. Who built the time-out torture room and why does Frank think it's beneficial??

I don't trust Frank. He's imposing a lot of isolation on Derry and the others by not letting them, even the older ones, ever use the internet.

So far the plot is slow, but I'm enjoying getting to vicariously hike through desert canyons.

I'm struggling with where I am in the book (the emotional floorplan) due to alexithymia.

This author is delightfully candid and sassy about anal health, and it makes reading this book entertaining as well as informative.
