I am really annoyed with this story and considering not finishing it.The only way to get through it is to skim.

Okay, so I'm only 5% in, but it already seems like this is a very stereotypical office romance and particularly similar to Spanish Love Deception which I very much disliked. Broody hero who is intensely attracted to the heroine who assumes he hates her. In other words a poor man's Hating Game. Although, I do like the heroine here more than the one in SLD.

I wasn't enjoying the fantasy aspect of the book--not sure I will return to it. I feel I should since the reviews are so good, but there are other books I want to read first.

I've lost interest in this story. Not sure I will pick it up again. I enjoyed the first book, but I'm not seeing the point in this one.

I'm really having a hard time connecting to this story. The characters are sweet and their interactions are cute, but I'm bored and having a hard time getting through it. I'm afraid I'm going to DNF. It's definitely not a bad book and obviously so many people have rated it highly, but it's just not working for me right now. I loved Denise Williams previous book and look forward to her next one.

At this point, I keep wondering why Aaron fell for Catalina. The author really hasn't shown us what's so great about her. At first, I empathize with her insecurities and difficulty being vulnerable but now her inner monologue is becoming annoying. What is everyone else seeing in this book that I don't?

So far, I'm sadly underwhelmed. I think the hype may have set me up for disappointment. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it improves since I was very much looking forward to a Hispanic heroine.

I decided to check the rating and reviews for this book after I downloaded it from Overdrive and based on the rating 3.7 and a few reviews, I'm going to set it aside. I usually don't read books that have lower than a 3.8 rating on Goodreads and then the description of it being more Hocus Pocus which I recall being rom-comy rather than more of a paranormal gives me pause. I've been on a roll of 5 star books so...

So far, the writing is a bit confusing. I think the author maybe trying a bit too hard to write like did in the 1880s--I'm not sure. The story is both original and intriguing thus far.

Ok, I'm taking a break from this book to read the Duke Undone which I borrowed from the library. So far, this story feels really long, and I'm not sure where it's going. I do plan to finish it, but it's taking much longer than I anticipated to get through it.

I've been wanting to read this book for a long time, and I've decided the time has come. I love Nora Roberts In Death books; and she has really spoiled other Romantic Suspense novels for me because with few exceptions they never live up to the bar this writer has set. She is THE contemporary romantic suspense writer. I hear that this is one of her best books in this genre. I'm anticipating this will ruin all others.

And now, my least favorite trope in all of romance has popped up tarnishing Sydney in my eyes no matter how this book resolves. What started as a 5 star read is going down. There's no way I can give it more than 4 stars now.

Do you hear that? That's the needle scratching what seemed like one of my favorite books. I truly loved the first half of this book. It was everything I could want from a NA romance--swoony, sexy, first love. Then, we jump ahead in time; and predictably, the author threw a huge wrench into this romance that I'm not appreciating at all. I had to peak at the epilogue to make sure I wanted to keep reading. Not cool.

I'm setting this one aside for now. I'm just not connecting with the characters or the story. Am I the only one that thinks it's weird for adults to play Clue amongst themselves? I know this book is supposed to be heavy on the humor, but I'm just not feeling it.

I really loved Beth O'Leary's first book The Flatshare and was excited to read this story but so far it's been slow, and I keep putting it down to read other books. I think I'm going to have to come back to it at a later date. Right now, I'm just not feeling it.

So far, this book is the epitome of the perfect romance novel; but I think it's about to take a very dark turn. One thing's for sure, Pam Godwin is a great writer--the plot, the pacing, the characters, the language are perfect. Loving it!

I'm almost at chapter 24 and it looks like we are headed for Josh breaking up with Tasha for her own good. I'm not feeling reading a bunch of angst right now so I may have to take a break from this story to cleanse my romance palate before I can finish this six course meal of a series.

Well this book is definitely not what I thought it would be so far. Other reviewers have accurately explained how the marketing misrepresented it. In any event, the beginning of the first two women's stories read like cautionary tales--pretty depressing. The way the writer narrates the story is uncomfortable for me given the subject matter--it feels gossipy. Lastly, readers BEWARE it's full of triggers.
