Good read, but too long. Yawn!

Chapter 1 very visual and well explained. Got a little bored with the chapter 2 on symmetries.

Introduction itself is great: the way you read maths/sciences books is fundamentally different than reading stories (implicitly knew this, still a revelation), how school curriculum layout is weird for learning.
Love the way she highlights incorrect concepts that can hinder learning (multiplication makes things bigger)

This has turned out to be bit borint than I had anticipated. Can't pinpoint why, but hasn't been that captivating.

Don't go by the off-putting subtitle ("knockout formula?") which might make you think this another ponzi scheme which guarantees quick money. Written by experienced pro in the industry, the book has rich content and great case studies.
Even the last two chapters on valuation are filled with nuggets of wisdom. The way he explains strength and weaknesses of ratios (price to book value is imp for banks) is nice!

Beautiful book. Covers a vast array of topics and a good dose of history. The tenth chapter 'The Dragon in My Garage' is the best short introduction to essence of scientific method!
