I can’t believe she put Ali and Nahri through all that knowing Muntadhir is alive and giving Dara a guilty conscious. It does not add fun tension it’s just annoying af.
Also, why are they so many Dara chapters? 😵‍💫
Can someone just create a fanfic of Ali and Nahri living out their lives in TaNtry.
I’m literally counting the pages till I reach Ali’s POV. The boy leads the Salah now. 😭

R.F Kuang waiting till the last 100 pages to bring the story to life. Why.

I think it’s important to note that this book is neither excuse nor condemnation of slavery. It has so explained the laws in the Shari’ah and the practice of slavery in reality (both good and bad). I think it’s also important to keep an open mind while reading this remembering that we now live in very different times. Slavery was a pre Islamic practice, Islam is a religion for all times.
