Okay I tried to read this in December (2024) and immediately didn't like what the author did with these two. It makes the whole first book feel pointless. And now, I'm still not liking it. Both Wes and Liz are kind of annoying idk like forced quirk and Wes saying stuff like ‘holy balls' idk the college setting feels blah and I think I'm going to move on.

I’m having mixed feelings about this immediately. Rune feels a bit too possessive for age 15. I know it’s an angsty and dramatic age, but I feel meh about him overall. Rune says that he’s kissed her everyday since he was 8 and snuck into her room and slept next to her since they were 12. And idk it just feels like a bit much.

Laugh out loud funny! I really needed this rn. So glad Apple TV is producing this, I love so many of their shows. Elle Fanning is going to be a perfect Margo.

This book is sooo good!!! Idk why I’ve never seen anyone talking about this??!! It’s beautiful, raw, heartbreaking. It deserves so much more hype. And this is a great reminder that there are so many books beyond the booksta/booktok echo-chamber. I’ll buy anything this author writes.

You can give us an FMC in an interesting sport, with an injury and issues with her dad and send her to therapy, yet none of it hides the fact that her whole situation with her ex’s bf is a big red flag. And Pen being their emotional support. Nope. It’s just kind a weird ridiculous cringe premise. I’ve done therapy with women in Pen’s position and they would never be like ‘told you so hehe’ PLEASEEEE 💀

Kicking my feet and giggling and blushing at 12:30 at night cause I’m obsessed with Rosie and Will!!!! And this story is about to destroy me, I know it. This is often compared to Normal People, but I’m loving it so much more tbh. Idk why I’ve never seen anyone talking about this book. I’m loving it!!!! ☺️😭🥰✨

Scarlet is a bit meh, like no personality is showing through yet. Pen is honestly more MC energy. (I DNFed Bride for that same reason, FMC was like BLAH) but there’s enough here that I’m continuing. I can already tell you I’m about to feel weird about FMC getting with her friend’s ex. To Be Continued…

I was really enjoying this, but as it goes on, it’s losing me. The writing feels a bit stilted and I have no idea where it’s going or what it wants to say. Pausing this for a bit and will return to it.
