Lolol starting this even tho i hated the first one bc im hoping they resolve some of the ridiculous from book 1

Oh my god. At this rate, there’s not going to be even a partial resolution. I’m going to have slogged through this and be left with so many questions and possibly a cliffhanger. I don’t want to waste more of my time on this series but I may not be able to leave it. Ugh. Maybe next year if it’s still bothering me… this could become an October tradition.

I don’t know why I’m going to keep going other than that I’ve committed so much time to the audiobook already.

It reads like a slightly more adult twilight. Not a bad beginning with what promised to be more complex characters and magical species quickly (or slowly actually this book is LONG) devolves into the same old same old overly possessive vampire, damsel in distress love story. Ugh.

New book, new love triangle. Sigh.

Meh her other books were better. This was a bit to unbelievable, like how could Jess keep going along with things? Still held my attention though. The format of going back and forth between Jess’s POV and Dr. Shields worked well for the game of cat and mouse.
